Firefighters dedicate their lives to the protection of life and property.  Sometimes that dedication is in the form of countless hours volunteered over many years, in others it is in the many selfless years working as a career firefighter.  In all cases, firefighters risk the ultimate sacrifice - their lives.

Every Idahoan will be touched at some point in their life through fire rescue, emergency response, fire prevention education, or hazardous materials clean up.

It is the mission of the Professional Firefighters of Idaho to create a memorial which will forever honor, celebrate and inspire the spirit, courage and service of Idaho firefighters - past, present and future.

The memorial includes both career and volunteer firefighters.
